Dr Katie Elliott is a Cancer Research UK GP and the Clinical Director (primary care) for the Northern Cancer Alliance. She is a GP appraiser and a member of the North East and Cumbria Senate Council.
At the centre of her work is general practice and patient care with the emphasis on improving equity of access to cancer services and optimising the use of resources. Her work is focused on early diagnosis, pathways and diagnostics including implementation of symptomatic FIT testing and developing a combined GI pathway. Katie is committed to ensuring the public are involved in the improvement of NHS services. She continues to work closely with the North East and Cumbria Learning disability network cancer project which includes improving access to cancer services and screening for people with learning disabilities.
